2 1/4 c flour 1 1/2 c sugar 3 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 c shortening 2/3 c milk 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 c milk 4 egg whites
Sift first 4 ingredients into a bowl and then add the following 3 items; Beat slow for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients; beat for an additional 2 minutes. Pour into 2 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 º for 30-35 minutes.
