2 1/2 lb. beef 3 T. flour 1/2 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 3 T. butter 3 onions, thinly sliced 1/2 c. tomato juice 1 can beef consomme 1 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. sugar 1/2 c. sour cream 8 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms 3 T. Burgandy wine
Cut meat into thin strips. Toss with flour, salt, and pepper. Brown meat and onions in butter. Add tomato juice, consomme, and sugar. Reduce heat and simmer til tender. Blend in sour cream, mushrooms, and wine. Heat...don't boil. Serve over buttered noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.
