3 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cocoa 4 tbsp. shortening 4 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. light Karo syrup 1 c. milk or cream 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix all ingredients, except vanilla in saucepan. Stir until comes to a boil. Cook until soft but firm ball is formed in cold water. Pour into platter. Cool. Add vanilla and whip until creamy. Add nuts, if desired
This fudge recipe is for Ridgley cause she doesn't like the fudge with marshmellow cream in it.
