2 c. cranberries
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. milk
3/4 c. pecans, chopped
12 canned pear halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cranberries in water and sugar until soft. Mash the berries and add the cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp. water. Stir until the syrup thickens and is transparent. Chill. Soften the cream cheese with milk and add the pecans. Drain the pear halves and fill the centers with cheese mixture. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the pears, cheese side up. Serve on a bed of lettuce.
