Vegetable Oil
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peel onions under running cold water to prevent eyes from watering. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and separate into rings. Heat oil in saucepan to 375 degrees. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth. Dip each ring into batter, letting excess drip into bowl.

Fry a few onion rings at a time in hot oil, turning once until golden brown. Drain.
