Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 pinch salt
3 large eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts; pecans and walnuts
1/4 c. water (just enough to bring the dough together)
Powdered sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except the water. Add enough water to bring the dough together to form a soft dough. Divide dough in two and roll in powdered sugar into a log. Place on greased sheet pan and bake in a preheated 350 oven for 15 minutes or just until firm to the touch. Take out of oven and only let cool for 5 minutes. Using a serrated knife cut into 1/2 inch slices. Pull slices apart so they are not touching. Bake at 300 for 15 more minutes. Let cook on wire rack. They will become very crisp. Store in an air tight container. Dip in your favorite coffee.

Personal Notes:
I make variations of this by adding chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and different nuts.
