1 c. butter (2 sqs.)
1 half c. chopped pecans or ,almonds melted
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. water
1 half lb. dipping chocolate
Dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, butter and water together. Stir constantly in one direction. Keep sides of pan washed down (until done) with brush dipped in hot water. Cook to a golden brown (280°). Spread on buttered cookie sheet or marble slab. Partly cool. Spread with chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped al­monds. Put almonds in candy before removing from heat if choc­olate is omitted. (You can use an electric frying pan to make this.) I happen to have a cast iron one I have used for years.
