1 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained well
3 slices rye bread
3 T. butter or margarine
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. milk
2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Cut rye bread into 1/2 in. cubes. In a skillet, melt butter. Add bread and toss to coat. Continue tossing until bread is toasted. Remove bread from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet cook beef and onions until meat is brown and onions are tender. Drain off fat. Stir together milk, flour, caraway seeds, dry mustard, dash of salt and a dash of pepper. Add milk mixture to beef and onions. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add cheese; cook and stir until cheese is melted. Stir in spinach. Simmer, covered, 5 to 10 minutes or until heated thoroughly. Spoon mixture into a serving dish and sprinkle with bread cubes.
