The little town of Denhart is the nicest Town I know. Take the country over no matter where you go. From any way you look at it you'll find it hard to beat. No rubbish in the alley No weeds upon our street. Davis Bros. and Potter own the whole darned town. No matter where you meet them they never wear a frown. They handle grain and lumber, Brick and tile, wire and posts. Come in and trade at Denhart where your dollar buys the most. This little town of Denhart hasn't a very large vote. Since old man Plummer moved away and took his billy goat. George Rachow is our merchant, he keeps a nice neat store. He treats you fair and honest. How could you ask for more? He's always out for business, and is getting his full share. He keeps the best of everything and treats his patrons fair. He keeps a line of merchandise of which he's justly proud. He keeps enough efficient clerks to take care of the crow. Stilson lays just north of us and farther east is Britt, and Renwick, south and west of here don't bother us a bit. Kanawha's south and east of us with Corwith north and west. But of all the towns around here, Denhart is the best. If you should happen through this way drop in and take a rest. We'll see that you enjoy your stay, at least we'll do our best.

Mom sent this to me after it was published in the paper. I wish I knew what year, but I don't have any idea. Know there is plenty of trash in the alleys of Denhart now.
