6 T butter
1/2 c cream

CAKE: Soak oats in hot water for 15 minutes. Beat in butter, brown sugar, sugar and eggs. Beat for 2 minutes; add flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Pour into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake 20- 25 minutes at 350.

TOPPING: Mix butter, cream and sugar together in a saucepan; cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and beat until thick enough to spread on cake. Put on cake; put in the broiler, not too close to flame for about 15 minutes or until brown - watch closely so as not to burn.

From the Ginger Mock's collection of recipes and a little different than Kathlyn's. Also Glen Mock's favorite cake.
