1/2 butter
1 pound package frozen cubed has browned potatoes
1/2 cup minced onions
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup crumbs (bread or corn flakes)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350 degree's. Melt butter in a bowl, combine all ingredients, except crumbs, spread mixture evenly in a greased 9 X 13 baking pan. Sprinkle crumbs on top, cover with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove foil last 15 minutes

Dehydrated onions can be substituted for fresh, and Cream of chicken in stead of mushrooms, also can be made ahead and baked later.
