1 c flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 c milk 2 eggs, beaten Texas style bread - thick slices
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and eggs. Dip bread into batter and fry in 1/2" hot oil until brown on both sides. Serve hot with powdered sugar or orange butter (1 stick of butter and 1-2 tsp of orange juice).
