1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup lemon juice
Grated lemon peel from one lemon
11/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 whole eggs
3 egg yolks

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter; stir in lemon peel and juice. Add sugar and salt. Slightly beat eggs and add to pan. Cook over boiling water until thick and smooth. May be stored in refrigerator for several months. Very good as a filling between cake layers; or on English muffins.
