8 slices bread
butter
1 lb sharp Cheddar cheese grated
4 c. milk
2 tsp dry mustard
6 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Remove crust from bread. Butter well. Cut in 1" squares. Alternate bread and cheese in buttered baking dish beginning and ending with bread squares. Beat milk, eggs and seasonings. Pour over bread mixture. Let stand in refrigerator overnight. Place in pan of water. Bake 1 good hour at 350 with lid.
