1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups walnut pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars
Add eggs, vanilla, nuts and beat well
Add flour, salt and baking soda, mix
Add oats and mix well
Shape into rolls, wrap in wax paper and chill thoroughly (can also be frozen)

Slick 1/4" thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake @ 350 for 8-10 minutes
