1/4 c. shortening, melted
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 8" square pan. Mix brown sugar in melted shortening. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. Add to brown sugar mix. Add vanilla & nuts. Bake for 25 minutes. Do not over-bake.
