1 c. butter
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar - granulated & powdered
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract - or almond extract
2 c. flour
1 to 2 c. walnuts - finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter with sugar until creamy. Add salt,extract, flour, nuts; mix well. Refrigerate until easy to handle. Shape dough into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.

While cookies are warm, roll in additional powdered sugar.
