dove breasts
flour
red wine
sliced white onions
strips of green peppers
oil

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly fry dove breasts in well-seasoned flour. Don't be concerned about cooking the doves thoroughly. Line a Pyrex dish with a layer of seasoned croutons. Place dove meat-side up on top of croutons. Place rings of sliced white onions and strips of green bell peppers on top of doves. Liberally drench whole dish with red wine and cover tightly. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour. The crust falls off the meat and combines with the croutons while baking. This makes a "dressing" to be served with the birds.
