2 apples, grated
2 cups cranberries, washed and picked over
8 cups finely shredded red cabbage
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
1 cup apple cider or apple juice
Freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Butter large casserole with lid. Combine grated apple, cranberries and shredded cabbage with remaining ingredients. Place in buttered casserole; dot with butter. Cover and bake for 1 hour until cabbage is tender. Serve hot.
