10 oz egg noodles
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 -14.5 oz can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
1 tsp salt
1 T white sugar
1 1/2 c sour cream
1 - 3 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 onion, chopped
1 c shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente; drain. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain grease. Add the tomatoes with juice, salt and sugar and simmer for 15 minutes. In a separate medium bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese and onion; mix well. In a 9x13" baking dish, place half of the egg noodles, then all of the meat mixture, then the cream mixture. Top with the remaining noodles and sprinkle with the cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil the last 10 minutes. For a crispier top, do not cover at all.
