Ingredients:  
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
4 tsp. water
4 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter to soften. Then cream butter, shortening and sugar. Stir in water, vanilla, then flour and nuts. Chill dough 3-4 hours. Form dough into long rolls. Cut off pieces and shape into crescents. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet @ 325 about 15 minutes. Do not brown. Remove from sheet, cool slightly. Sprinkle with, or dip into, powdered sugar.
