2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. corn oil
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg, beaten
1 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together in a large bowl the flour, salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, ginger, brown sugar, white sugar and oil. Reserve 3/4 cup of this mixture. Add to this 3/4 cup the nuts and the additional 1 tsp. cinnamon. Set aside. To the remaining mixture add baking soda, baking powder, egg, and buttermilk. Mix to combine (small lumps are OK). Pour batter into a well greased 9x13x2 pan. Sprinkle topping evenly on top. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
