1 package caramel (50-60 pieces)
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 package German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. margarine/butter, melted
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine caramels and 1/2 c. evaporated milk. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until melted. Set aside. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan. In large bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter, 1/3 c. evaporated milk and nuts. Mixture will be thick. Press and spread half of this mixture in pan. Reserve remainder for topping. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust. Spread caramel mixture over chocolate. Next, crumble remainder of dough over caramel mixture. Bake 18-20 minutes. Cool slightly. Refrigerate to set--30 minutes. Cut into 36 or more bars. Store in refrigerator. Freezes well.
