Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp.vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, mix in the brown sugar. Let this cool for a few minutes. While the wet ingredients are cooling, mix flour, salt and baking powder.

Add egg and vanilla to the brown sugar & butter mixture and stir. Once these ingredients are mixed, add the dry ingredients (I usually mix this all in the saucepan, just make sure it's big enough). Once the wet and dry ingredients are combined, mix in the chocolate chips.

Add the batter to a greased brownie pan - spread the mixture evenly throughout the pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350.

You can also make this with butterscotch chips (I think this is where the butterscotch in Butterscotch Brownies comes from).

I usually double this recipe.
