1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cups nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the dry ingredients and spread into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Mix together the liquid ingredients and pour over the dry ingredients in pan, until mixed together.

Bake 375 15 minutes

Topping:

1 cup plus 3 tbsp. brown sugar, 1/3 cup melted margarine, 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup coconut. Mix together and spread over cake as soon as it comes out of the over. Return to oven and bake until topping is lightly browned.

This is a very old recipe from Marie Phillips, she would always have made for Randy and Kim. They loved it. Simple and very good!
