4 cups water, boiling
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick cook grits
1 stick butter
1/8-1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 eggs
Milk
Paprika, optional
Corn flakes or Ritz cracker crumbs, crushed, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Stir grits into salted, boiling water. Cook according to directions on grits container. Add butter, garlic powder and cheddar cheese. Beat eggs and add enough milk to make 1 cup. Place in a buttered casserole and bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes. Top with corn flakes or cracker crumbs. This recipe makes a large casserole. May make half for a smaller group.
