1 cup quick cook grits
4 cups boiling water with1 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
1 6-ounce roll garlic cheese or 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder and 2 cups cheddar cheese)
2 eggs
Milk
Paprika
Corn flakes or Ritz cracker crumbs, crushed

Directions:
Directions:
Stir grits into boiling salted water. Cook according to directions on grits container. Add butter and garlic cheese (or garlic powder and cheddar cheese). Beat eggs and add enough milk to make 1 cup. Place in a buttered casserole and bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes. Top with corn flakes or cracker crumbs. This recipe makes a large casserole. May make half for a smaller group.

PLAIN CHEESE GRITS:
Omit garlic cheese and add 1-pound of mild cheddar cheese.
