cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
teaspoon salt
2 cup pecans or black walnuts, chopped
1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
Ice cream

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup. Add eggs, vanilla and salt, blend well; add nuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 325 for 50 - 55 minutes or until done. May make tarts.
Note: To serve pour caramel topping or melted caramels on pie plate and add a scoop of butter pecan ice cream or vanilla.
