1 pound hamburger
1 large onion, chopped
6 - 8 potatoes, diced thin
Salt and pepper
Pinch of sugar
1 can tomatoes
Tomato ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
Roll hamburger into 1-inch meatballs; brown in large skillet. Add diced potatoes, cover with lid and cook until almost tender, do not brown. Add salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar, if needed. Add onions; sauté until clear. Add tomatoes. Simmer until all is tender. Add tomato ketchup to thicken. Simmer. May substitute pasta for potatoes.
Note: Papa Bernard would not eat pasta, so Mama substituted potatoes.
