12-ounce package chocolate cream-filled cookies, Oreos, crushed
1 8-ounce package pitted dates, cut up
cup water
teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows or 16 large ones
cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Reserve cup crushed cookies; spread remainder in 10X6X1-inch baking dish. Combine dates, water and salt in saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat; add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted. Cool to room temperature. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread date mixture over crumbs in dish. Combine cream and vanilla; whip, swirl over dates, sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs. Top with nuts. Chill overnight.
