2 tablespoons egg whites or (meringue powder plus 1/4 cup minus 1 tablespoon water)
2 cups confectioners sugar
Food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk egg whites and sugar to form a loose icing, (it should flow a little). Transfer small amounts to separate bowls and color. (i.e., hearts pipe pink icing around edge and white in center.) Keep icing covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying. Ice cookies. Let dry and package in cellophane bags.
