Crust:
1 3-ounce cream cheese, softened
cup butter, softened
1 cup flour, sifted

Filling:
1 egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
2/3 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese. Stir in flour. Chill about 1 hour; shape into 24 1-inch balls. Place in ungreased muffin cups. Press dough onto bottom and sides, forming a pastry cup. Fill full with filling.

Filling:
Beat egg with sugar, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth. Add chopped pecans. Bake in 325 oven for 20-25 minutes. Cool; remove from pan.
Yield: 24 tarts.
