1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
2 cups plain flour
teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Sift together dry ingredients. Blend dry ingredients into butter. Pat down in ungreased 9X9-inch pan and press edges down. Pierce evenly with fork every -inch. Bake 325 for 25 -30 minutes. Cut into squares while warm.
Optional: May roll out dough -inch thick on lightly floured surface and cut into shapes with cookie cutter. Refrigerate 2 hours. Bake 300 for 25-30 minutes.
