Ingredients:
cup butter (12 tablespoons)
3 1-ounce squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cups sugar
cup flour, sifted

1 cup pecans, lightly toasted

Fudge Topping:
1 stick butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
6 tablespoons buttermilk
1 pound powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler or bowl set over simmering water, combine butter and chocolate; cook until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add sugar and whisk until smooth. Add cup of the flour and whisk to combine. Alternate adding the remaining flour and eggs, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Add nuts. Pour into generously greased 9X13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until tests done.

Fudge Topping:
In a medium saucepan combine butter, cocoa and buttermilk over medium heat. Cook until butter melts and mixture just comes together. Remove from heat and whisk until smooth. Sift the confectioners' sugar into a medium bowl. Add the chocolate mixture and whisk until smooth. Add vanilla. Remove brownies from the oven. With a wooden spoon handle poke holes every 1-2 inches. Pour fudge topping over brownies and smooth with a spatula or spoon. Let cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before cutting.
