4 - 6 quarts cucumbers, sliced
6 - 8 medium onions, sliced
2 green peppers, cut into strips
cup canning salt
5 cups cider vinegar
5 cups sugar
1 teaspoon whole cloves
2 teaspoons 2 tablespoons mustard seeds
1 teaspoons celery seeds
1 - 1 teaspoons turmeric

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together cucumber slices, onions and peppers. Pour salt over. Cover with ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain. Heat vinegar, sugar and spices; bring to a boil; do not boil. Add drained cucumbers, onions and peppers. Pack in hot, sterilized jars. Fill to -inch from the top with hot syrup. Cover with lids and process in water bath for 15 minutes. Allow 2 weeks for full flavor. Makes 9-10 pints.
