1 cup cooking oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cups self-rising flour
3 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith’s)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped
˝ cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Caramel Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup boiling water
1/2 stick butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Beat well. Add flour and beat thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and stir to blend well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9X13-inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Caramel Sauce:
Combine sugars, flour and water. Cook until thick. Then add butter and vanilla very carefully. May boil rapidly. Stir thoroughly. Pour warm sauce over cake.
