1 box yellow cake mix with pudding
1 cup brandied fruit juice (recipe follows) or 1 cups brandied fruit
cup oil
4 eggs
1 cup pecans, chopped

Starter Juice:
Add 1 large can sliced peaches, drained - no juice,
into a large glass canister. Leave on countertop. Do not refrigerate. Stir daily for 10 days with a wooden spoon.
On the 10th day add 2 1/2 cups sugar and 1 large can crushed pineapple and/or fruit cocktail, drained. Stir daily for 10 days with a wooden spoon.
On 20th day add 2 - 9-ounce jars maraschino cherries, drained, halved. Stir daily for 10 days with wooden spoon.
On the 30th day - drain fruit. Save the juice for starter juice or pour over ice cream. May frost with Cream Cheese Frosting or pour Brandied Fruit Sauce over cake. May freeze.

Brandied Fruit Sauce:
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon, plus 1/4 tablespoon water
1/4 cup brandied syrup
1/4 cup brandied fruit
1/4 cup butter

Preheat oven to 350. Add juice and oil to cake mix. Mix thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in nuts. Bake in a well-greased, large tube pan or bundt pan (may boil over if too small) or may bake in sheet cake pan and bake less time (about 30 minutes). May frost with Cream Cheese Frosting or use Brandied Fruit Sauce.

Brandied Fruit Sauce:
Mix ingredients in saucepan. Boil 3 minutes. Pour sauce over hot cake.
