2 cups sugar
cups evaporated milk
2/3 cup boiling water
1/3 cup white Karo syrup
teaspoon soda
2 cups pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a very large saucepan. Add soda and bring to a boil again. Add 2 cups pecans. Stir constantly to firm ball stage. Remove from heat and beat until it thickens and loses shiny gloss. Add vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Add teaspoon hot water if it becomes too hard. May be frozen or kept in an air tight container.
