2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 level tsp soda
2 c flour
1 pound raisins
1 c. liquid from cooked raisins
nuts may be added

Cook raisins in 2 cups of water until 1 cup of liquid is left.
Beat eggs, add sugar and shortening beat and add cinnamon and nutmeg.
Dissolve soda in liquid and add to mixture - add raisins then the flour and nuts.

Recipe does not have how to bake.
Mom made this cake and always made brown sugar frosting with it.
