1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
cinnamon & sugar combination

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Mix well and add in dry ingredients. Roll in a mixture of equal parts cinnamon sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a 400 oven.

Ok- I have to admit that a lot of the appeal of this cookie is in the name. Isn't it just fun to say?? Kids also really love this cookie- it's a classic! Enjoy!
