1/4 lb Butter
2 sm Hank of Vermicelli or Thin Spaghetti, broken into pieces
1 c Rice
3 c Boiling Water
1/2 t Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Brown broken vermicelli (or thin spaghetti (1" diameter)) in butter until golden. Add rice, brown. Add boiling water & salt. Cook until rice is done, about 40 minutes. (All moisture will be absorbed.)

Sauteed onions & celery may be added. When serving with beef, beef bouillon may be used instead of water and when used with chicken,
chicken broth or bouillon may be used.
