2 c Flour
1 t Soda
1 t Cinnamon
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 c Molasses
1/2 t Ginger
1/2 t Salt
1/2 c Margarine
1/2 c Butter Or Strong Coffee
1 c Raisins, Optional

Cream shortening, sugar, egg and molasses 2 minutes. Add rest of ingredients except raisins. Beat 1 minute. Add raisins. Bake at 350 25
minutes. Frost while sightly warm with thin coat of lemon frosting.
