2 c Brown Sugar
2/3 c Shortening
3 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
2 1/2 c Flour
2 t Baking Powder
1/2 t Salt
1 c Chocolate Chips
Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix brown sugar & shortening well. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, baking powder & salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and/or nuts. Spread into a jelly-roll pan. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Cut while warm.

I always feel there is not quite enough dough to cover a jelly-roll pan - but there is. These are very good! ~Carolyn
