1 acorn squash
Bread stuffing mix
Nuts such as pecans
margarine or margarine spray
salt & pepper
Optional: 2 slices of cooked crumbled sausage

Directions:
Directions:
Split acorn squash length wise and clean out seeds. Put open side down in microwaveable dish with 1 inch of water. Cook on high in microwave 5 min. Remove from water, turn over with potholder or fork. Mix 1 cup of stuffing with chopped pecans, as many or few as you like. Sprinkle each squash half with salt and pepper and add 1/2 c. of stuffing mix to opening in each. Put back in drained microwave dish and spray each with butter spray or dot with small amounts of margarine. Cook in microwave 4 minutes. To serve, can spoon out of shell onto plates. When adding sausage with the stuffing mix it adds a different flavor.
