1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1&1/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture. Shape in 1 in. balls and roll in sugar. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press 5 peanut halves atop each or criss cross with fork tines. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from pan to cool completely.
