3 lg. green peppers
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 8oz. can tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Cut thin slice from the stem end of each pepper. Remove all seed and membranes. Wash pepper inside and outside. Heat 1 c. water and 1/2 tsp. salt to boiling. Add peppers. Cook 5 minutes and drain. Mix remaining ingredients. Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/3 of the meat mixture. Stand peppers upright in ungreased baking dish. Cover; bake 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 15 minutes longer.
