Ingredients:  
5 C. self-rising flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 C. sugar (optional)
1 C. shortening
2 C. buttermilk
2 pkg Active Dry Yeast
1/4 C. warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water - set aside.
Mix dry ingredients; cut in shortening & mix well.
Add yeast & buttermilk; mix well.
Roll out on floured board, & cut any size.
you can let biscuits rise, or bake immediately.
Bake @ 425 for 10-12 minutes.
