5 c Flour
1/4 t Baking Soda
1 t Salt
2 c Lard
1/4 c Butter Or Margarine
1 Egg
1 T Cider Vinegar
Water

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, baking soda and salt into mixing bowl. With pastry
blender work in lard and margarine until mixture is crumbly like
oatmeal. Break egg into measuring cup, add vinegar and then fill cup
about 3/4 full with water. Mix with fork enough to break up egg yolk.
Pour into flour/lard mixture a little at a time until flour is
moistened. Work with hands while adding liquid. You may need to add a
bit more water. Makes 2 - 2 crust pies.
