3 sticks butter, softened
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
Dash of salt
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
6 large eggs
3 cups sifted cake flour or plain flour (sifted 2 times)

Directions:
Directions:
Use mixer to blend butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add salt and vanilla, beat well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
Stir in flour gradually and beat until all is combined, then spoon mixture into greased, floured 10 inch tube pan. Shake pan gently to settle batter and remove air pockets. Bake at 325 for about 1 1/2 hours.
