1 c. water 1 c. shortening 4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. allspice 2 c. raisins 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Boil water and raisins about 5 minutes. Cool. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla. Mix together dry ingredients. Mix well, add raisins and water. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes.
