2 cups sugar
4 cups Mcintosh apples, peeled and chopped
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup oil
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped

Mix apples and sugar together and let stand 15 minutes. After 15 minutes add eggs, oil and vanilla, mix well with wooden spoon.

Sift together dry ingredients. Add gradually to apple mixture. Stir in nuts.

Pour into greased and floured 9" x 13" baking pan.

Bake 350 1 hour

Serve topped with Cool Whip.
